Membership plugins can often be too complex and too expensive. Many clients just want a simple set-up and don't want to commit to $200-$300pa just for some content restriction or other basic features.

Breakdance already has a lot of useful conditions and dynamic data - but it's not straight-forward to pull all this together. Smithy Portal does this work - providing built in custom post type, custom fields (no need for ACF), new dynamic data helpers, new conditions for elements and queries, new form actions for saving and editing posts - and more! Everything you need to create a membership setup, file or document sharing portal.

This allows you to build a file-sharing site or just leverage the front-end posting and editing. This is a version 1 with plans to extend capabilities to enable client portals, directories, job boards and similar setups. Early adopters are free to suggest their most wanted features which will guide development.

The price will increase as feature are added, but it will always be LTD, helping you budget your projects.
