Smithy Portal turns any WordPress site into a member-facing hub — a forum, a feature-request board, a documentation library (this page is built with it), a roadmap, a changelog, or private support tickets. Pick a Starter Pack, and Portal creates a ready-to-use content type for it in one click.

What you can build

• Forum — a community discussion board with status, voting, comments, following and notifications.
• Feature Requests — a public upvote/downvote product feedback board with status workflow, following and notifications.
• Documentation — a hierarchical knowledge base with categories, drag-drop nav ordering, breadcrumbs and a table of contents (what you’re reading now).
• Roadmap — a Kanban-style status board with voting.
• Changelog — versioned release notes grouped by version tag.
• Support Tickets — private support tickets with status, following, notifications and comments.

Requirements

WordPress, a Smithy Portal licence, and (for the Documentation starter pack specifically) a Breakdance template using the Portal TOC, Breadcrumb and Doc Nav elements to render navigation — the page content itself is just a normal WordPress page.

Getting started

Install a Starter Pack from Smithy Portal → Starter Packs, then customise it on the Instances screen — give it a label, choose which features it needs, and set a Category Taxonomy slug if you want hierarchical sections like this documentation library has.
